Malaysia Airlines has entered a codeshare partnership with SNCF Voyageurs, France’s national rail operator. This agreement links Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport to 28 rail destinations across France under a single itinerary.
The partnership operates through SNCF Voyageurs’ “TRAIN + AIR” product, which integrates air and rail services into a single journey for passengers travelling to CDG. Tickets have been available on Malaysia Airlines’ official website since July 10, 2026.
One Booking, 28 French Destinations
Malaysia Airlines will place its marketing code on SNCF-operated rail services using AccessRail’s IATA code “9B”. This allows customers to book rail segments onwards directly as part of their air itinerary through CDG. The network includes major regional cities such as Lyon, Strasbourg, Rennes, Lille, and Marseille. Passengers benefit from a single booking, coordinated connections and simpler transfers between air and rail.
Bryan Foong, chief executive officer of the airline business at Malaysia Aviation Group, stated that the partnership supports the carrier’s goal of seamless, end-to-end connectivity across Europe. He noted that the agreement expands Malaysia Airlines’ network beyond CDG to 28 destinations and provides customers with a single, more convenient itinerary.

Part of a Wider Air-Rail Strategy
The SNCF partnership builds on Malaysia Airlines’ MHrail initiative, which connects flights with rail services at major global gateways. The airline already offers similar air-rail partnerships at hubs such as Seoul and London Heathrow. Malaysia Airlines frames the move as part of a broader strategy to extend its reach through partnerships beyond traditional aviation networks. The airline carries up to 40,000 guests daily and connects to more than 900 destinations in 170 territories worldwide as a member of the oneworld alliance.
