The new entry-level fare gives passengers greater flexibility through a pay-for-what-you-use model designed for those travelling without checked baggage.
IndiGo has introduced IndiGo Lite, a new entry-level fare for passengers travelling with only cabin baggage. The new option expands the airline’s fare portfolio and allows travellers to pay only for the services they need. As a result, customers can choose a more cost-effective travel option without paying for checked baggage. IndiGo has made the fare available for bookings through its direct channels from 1 July 2026, while travel begins on 15 July 2026.
Designed for lighter, more flexible travel
IndiGo Lite includes a 7 kg cabin baggage allowance and does not include complimentary checked baggage. However, passengers can add checked baggage and other optional services during booking if required. The fare is available on domestic and international non-stop routes for one-way, return and multi-city journeys. In addition, both adults and children can book this fare. Through this offering, IndiGo gives customers greater control over how they plan and pay for their travel.

Expanding the airline’s fare portfolio
With the launch of IndiGo Lite, the airline continues to diversify its range of travel options. The new fare joins products such as IndiGo Stretch and UpFront, giving passengers more choices based on their travel preferences and budgets. This introduction reflects the growing demand for personalised fare options across the aviation sector, where travellers increasingly choose services that match their individual needs.
