Why Gujarat Travellers Are the Focus
Indian travellers increasingly seek destinations that blend accessibility with premium experiences. Colombo now offers exactly that combination for short-haul luxury seekers. India and Sri Lanka’s shared cultural and religious ties add further pull, particularly around Ramayana trail tourism.
Gujarat families have shown strong interest in this heritage connection specifically. The route also opens up Colombo’s nightlife, shopping, dining and beach experiences. City of Dreams Sri Lanka sits at the centre of that broader appeal.

Flight Schedule and Route Details
The service connects Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport with Bandaranaike International Airport. FitsAir will operate the route three times weekly on Airbus narrow-body aircraft. Onboard hospitality and light refreshments round out the flying experience.
Ahmedabad-Colombo departures run at 03:40 and 10:45, arriving at 06:50 and 13:55 respectively. Return flights depart Colombo at 23:25 and 06:30, landing in Ahmedabad at 02:35 and 09:40.
Leadership on the Launch
Kamal Munasinghe of Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts said Indian travellers increasingly want accessibility paired with premium experiences. He called the route a more convenient way to reach Colombo and City of Dreams Sri Lanka.
