Why Prague, Why Now
Prague offers Starlux a distinctive entry point into the European market. The city draws strong tourism demand while offering onward connections across the continent. It also gives the airline a foothold ahead of likely further European expansion.
The route currently operates on the Airbus A350-900 widebody aircraft. Starlux will upgrade to the larger A350-1000 from 1 September. That shift signals confidence in sustained demand on the route from the outset.

Part of a Bigger Global Push
Starlux has built its reputation on premium service and modern aircraft in recent years. The airline has steadily expanded across Asia-Pacific and North America since launching operations. Europe represented a clear gap in that otherwise growing network.
The Taipei-Prague route gives Starlux a genuine long-haul flagship service. It also positions the airline to compete more directly with established global carriers. More European destinations are likely to follow if early demand holds up.

Taiwan to Central Europe isn’t an obvious first move for most airlines. Starlux made it anyway, and it’s betting Prague pays off.
