IHG has opened a dual-branded property in Orlando, Florida, bringing together EVEN Hotel and Staybridge Suites under one roof, to serve both leisure and business travellers.

IHG Hotels & Resorts has opened a new dual-branded property in Orlando, Florida, combining EVEN Hotel Orlando Universal Blvd and Staybridge Suites Orlando Universal Blvd in a single development. Located near Universal Orlando Resort, including the new Epic Universe theme park, and the Orange County Convention Center, the 288-key hotel is designed to serve families, business travellers and extended-stay guests. The project also marks a significant milestone for both brands and supports IHG’s continued expansion in one of the United States of America’s busiest business travel destinations. Two hotel brands under one roof

The new development combines 120 EVEN Hotel rooms with 168 Staybridge Suites, creating a total of 288 guestrooms. Guests across both brands have access to a shared 1,500-sqf Athletic Studio, a resort-style outdoor pool, a game room, a 24-hour marketplace, guest laundry facilities, storage units for long-stay travellers, and an outdoor courtyard with barbecue grills and pet walking areas. By combining the two brands, IHG aims to offer greater flexibility for travellers with different needs, while letting them enjoy shared amenities throughout their stay.

Wellness meets extended-stay comfort

Each brand retains its own identity while complementing the other. EVEN Hotel focuses on wellness and recovery, with premium bedding, cooling linens, spa-inspired showers, and in-room fitness features. Guests can also dine at EVEN Kitchen & Bar, which serves breakfast, dinner, and evening cocktails, while daily wellness touches such as evening tea service encourage relaxation. Meanwhile, Staybridge Suites caters to longer stays through studio and one-bedroom suites equipped with full kitchens and separate living areas. Daily breakfast is included, and guests have the option to visit the Staybridge Suites Social on select evenings, where they can enjoy light bites, beer, and wine. Residents can also order from the EVEN Kitchen & Bar menu during their stay.

A strategic location in Orlando, Florida

The property’s location places guests close to some of Orlando’s most popular attractions. Universal Orlando Resort, the newly opened Epic Universe theme park, and the Orange County Convention Centre are all within easy reach. As a result, the hotel is well positioned to attract both holidaymakers visiting Orlando’s theme parks and professionals attending meetings, conventions, and trade events. The opening also supports IHG’s broader growth strategy in Orlando, where the company plans to introduce additional luxury and lifestyle hotels over the coming years.

Meeting changing traveller expectations

According to IHG, travellers increasingly want accommodation that adapts to different styles of travel. By bringing wellness-focused stays and residential-style accommodation together in one development, the company is creating a more flexible hospitality model. Guests can choose the stay experience that best suits their trip without sacrificing access to shared amenities or the property’s central location. The opening reflects a broader trend across the hospitality industry as hotel groups introduce mixed-brand developments that appeal to multiple traveller segments while making more efficient use of shared facilities.
