JW Marriott Essex House New York has unveiled the Promenade Suite, the fourth addition to its Central Park Suite Collection. Inspired by Central Park’s famed Promenade — also known as The Mall and Literary Walk — the suite draws on one of New York’s most enduring traditions: bringing people together through culture, conversation, and shared experience, set against panoramic views of the park.

Perched Above the Promenade

Perched on the 38th floor of the hotel’s Art Deco tower, the Promenade Suite offers a rare vantage point overlooking Central Park South. Oversized windows frame sweeping, unobstructed views across the park, while the suite’s bedrooms capture Manhattan from multiple angles. In its standard configuration, the 1,390-square-foot suite features a primary king bedroom and a secondary bedroom with two full beds, accommodating up to six guests — with options to expand into three- or four-bedroom configurations, or reserve the entire floor. The starting rate is $15,000 per night.

Three Suites, Three Stories

The Delacorte Presidential Suite honours George T. Delacorte, Dell Publishing founder and city philanthropist. Its palette draws on the park’s flora and fauna, featuring an entryway and open living-dining area anchored by a sustainably sourced eight-seat table. The Meadow Terrace Suite takes its cue from interior designer Elsie de Wolfe, pairing feminine decorative detailing with a terrace overlooking Central Park’s Sheep Meadow and Columbus Circle. The Artisans Terrace Suite is named for the park’s 7th Avenue entrance and channels Art Deco design, with a piano key installation nodding to Gershwin’s music.

Wellness Built Into the Terrace

The Artisans Terrace Suite extends beyond design into wellness. Guests can access private contrast therapy on the terrace, including a cold plunge and four-person barrel sauna. One-on-one sessions with a wellness coach are available, covering breathwork and restorative practices alongside the hot-cold immersion routine.
