Equinox Resort AMAALA has opened on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast. It marks Equinox’s second hotel worldwide and its first outside the US. Equinox Resort AMAALA joins a fast-growing collection of wellness properties along the coastline.
Red Sea Global developed the resort as part of its wider AMAALA destination. Meanwhile, Equinox Resort AMAALA sits at Marina Village within Triple Bay. This location places performance-focused luxury at the centre of Saudi Arabia’s tourism push.
A New Kind of Luxury Address
Equinox Resort AMAALA brings the brand’s fitness-first philosophy into a hotel setting. Foster + Partners designed the building’s architecture. Meanwhile, Rockwell Group handled the interiors throughout the property.
Both teams drew inspiration from the surrounding landscape. Coastal views, marine textures and nearby mountains shape the resort’s overall look. As a result, the design feels rooted firmly in its Red Sea setting.

Rooms, Residences and Recovery
The resort offers 128 rooms and suites across six categories. Two penthouse suites sit at the very top of that range. Alongside the hotel, 21 branded residences extend the Equinox lifestyle into permanent homes.
Recovery-focused amenities anchor the guest experience here. Four outdoor swimming pools include a rooftop magnesium salt pool. Guests can also access a lap pool and additional leisure pools nearby.

Part of a Bigger Wellness Vision
Equinox Resort AMAALA is not launching in isolation. Four Seasons, Rosewood and Six Senses have already opened resorts at Triple Bay. Together, these properties are shaping AMAALA into a dedicated wellness destination.
Red Sea Global plans significant further growth here. Nine resorts will eventually operate across the destination. Combined, they are expected to offer more than 1,600 hotel rooms in total.

Why This Opening Matters
This opening signals real momentum for Saudi wellness tourism. International fitness and hospitality brands are now converging on one coastline. Consequently, AMAALA is becoming a genuine test case for performance-led luxury travel.
For travellers, that means more choice beyond traditional beach resorts. Equinox Resort AMAALA offers a stay built specifically around recovery and performance. It gives the brand’s loyal fitness community a reason to travel much further from home.
Ultimately, Equinox Resort AMAALA marks another milestone for Triple Bay’s rapid expansion. It also confirms that wellness has become a serious pillar of luxury hospitality strategy today.
