Emirates has introduced a new flight change policy for passengers travelling to Dubai. Starting August 10, 2026, the airline’s flight change policy allows unlimited free date changes across a wide range of fares. The move gives travellers far more flexibility to adjust their plans without penalty.

What the New Flight Change Policy Covers

Under the updated flight change policy, Economy Saver through Flex fares qualify for unlimited free date changes. Business Class Special, Saver and Flex fares are included too. Meanwhile, Economy Flex Plus, Premium Economy, Business Flex Plus and First Class fares remain fully flexible, as they were before this flight change policy took effect. Passengers should note that any fare difference between the original and new booking still applies.

Lower Refund Fees Alongside the Policy Update

Emirates has paired its new flight change policy with reduced refund fees on Dubai-bound tickets. Economy passengers now pay just $50 on Saver fares and $25 on Flex fares. Similarly, Business Class refund fees drop to $50 on Special and Saver fares and $25 on Flex fares. No-show fees, however, remain unchanged under the revised terms.

How the Flight Change Policy Applies Network-Wide

Beyond Dubai-bound travel, Emirates’ flight change policy also extends across its wider network. Passengers flying anywhere on Emirates receive one free date change on tickets booked from April 2, 2026, including journeys connecting through Dubai. Additionally, customers can hold a fare for 24 hours at no charge while finalising their travel plans.

Emirates is combining this flight change policy with its Comprehensive Travel Cover, which includes conflict-related protection and emergency evacuation benefits. The airline is also offering a promotional Cash+Miles rate of 2,000 Miles for $30, well below the usual $15 value — giving members another reason to take advantage of the new flexibility.
