The signing continues IHCL’s long-running partnership with AMPA Group. As IHCL signs a Tree of Life resort in Karaikudi, the addition takes its Tamil Nadu portfolio to 33 hotels, 14 of them under development. Karaikudi’s grand Chettiar mansions and distinct architecture give the region its cultural pull.

Design Rooted in Chettinad Heritage
The resort draws inspiration directly from the region’s iconic Chettiar architecture. Traditional design elements blend with contemporary comforts throughout the property. An all-day dining restaurant will showcase authentic Chettinad cuisine for guests.
Wellness and recreation facilities round out the offering, including a swimming pool, gym and spa. The design approach reflects IHCL’s push to root each Tree of Life property in local culture.

Leadership on the Signing
Suma Venkatesh, IHCL’s EVP of Real Estate & Development, said Karaikudi is drawing a diverse mix of leisure travellers and cultural enthusiasts. She called the signing a natural fit with IHCL’s strategy of expanding into emerging leisure destinations.
